Sushi Hon

Nite asked if I have blogged about Sushi Hon. I reassured her I did, but when I go through my messy cataloging I can't for the life of me, find it. Anyway I have decided blogging about it is faster than searching through my poor excuse of catalog.

I love the new Emporium Food Court. It has a wide range of food from east to west, north to south, sea to sky. I get lost after 3 streets away from my office but by God I know how to navigate my way to Emporium Food court from anywhere.

Sushi Hon is located near the entrance to Melbourne Central. Nite and I have been there twice but the second time the variety seemed lesser or it could be bad timing. It's a kaidan sushi with some menu options. Besides the usual sushi and maki on plate, you can also find other stuff such as...

Takoyaki - it taste ok but can't beat even the street takoyaki in Japan.

Adegashi toufu. Not too bad for Kaidan Sushi.

Tori Karaege - we didn't see this again the next time we went there. Timing?

Wasabi seaweed which I like.

I do like the little bowls and plates that they used. I am sure they are capitalizing on the adage - if it looks good, it taste good.

Certainly worked on us especially dessert.

Their maki is featured prominently on their kaidan and must be their trademark specialty. You can also buy them separately on the takeaway counter. Their price range is mid range, around what you would expect from a eatery in Emporium Food court.

I won't advise you to come if you are not into raw Japanese food. Otherwise, Irasshiamase!
